It is with great joy we invite you to join us in year three of the Spirits of the Earth Immersion. In this year long immersion we will travel together to seashore and mountains, create sacred shields, and immerse ourselves in the rhythms and power of the Elemental forces.
When we cultivate sacred relationships with the Elemental principles in our lives, Air, Fire, Water, Earth and Ethers, we are imbued with Spirit merging us more directly in interconnectedness to the Web of Life. Moving into deepening relationships with ourselves, our community, the natural world, and Spirit through cultivating right relationship with the Elements and the unseen supports us in expanding our consciousness and fulfilling our destiny.
Walking a path of sacred reciprocity, gratitude, deep listening; and living from our hearts, empowers us to navigate the shifting realities of the Earth and her inhabitants. This path awakens us to a new, yet ancient way of being; interconnected with all, living with spiritual protection, perception, harmony and peace.
What We Will Do:
We will gather together every other month for collective learning and deeply rooted ritual and connection. In alternate months, we will lean into our personal visioning and rituals consecrating our relationship with each element through private mentoring.
For three of our 6 months of collective learning we will share time together inhabiting the lands of the Blue Ridge mountains, the foot hills of the North Georgia mountains, and the Atlantic waterways in South Carolina for 2-3 days retreats. We will tend the spirits in the local woods in Watkinsville, GA at Woodhill, and in the sacred space at Heart Path Studio for the other 3 months.

Barbara is a community elder, teacher, healer and mixed media artist. She is grateful to live in the woods and work with Spirit and natural materials to create art. As an only child growing up in Macon, Georgia, she spent her time in the exploring the woods and creek, making altars, observing and interacting with insects, reptiles, and animals. This childhood grounded her firmly in her love of the Earth. Barbara came of age in the early 1970’s and was fortunate to be part of a community of artists and healers. In the 1990’s Barbara took numerous spirit based workshops including workshops on death and dying, shamanic practices, Holotropic Breathwork, and earth-based spiritual practices. She was also fortunate to participate in Dr. Elizabeth Sheerer’s dream groups for twenty-three years. During this time Barbara’s art redefined itself, becoming shaped by her spiritual practice. She teaches workshops incorporating guided journeying and natural materials that immerse participants in the creative flow.
Shannon is a ritual healing practitioner, teacher and founder of Heart Path Studio, (www.heartpathstudio.org) a non-profit organization in Athens which aims to create a new folk culture of relating with the unseen world through the convergence of animistic and shamanic principles. Having made a pilgrimage to Nigeria, she is a committed student in the Ifa/Orisa tradition of Yoruba-speaking West Africa in the lineage of OlúwoFálolú Adésànyà, She holds a Master’s degree in Professional Leadership and Counseling. Committed to Earth-honoring, individual and collective healing, she is a certified practitioner of Ancestral Lineage Healing. Her work addresses the cultural wounding of the feminine through patriarchy and focuses primarily on supporting others with their blood lineage ancestors and healing of the collective other unhealed ones through land-based ritual. She provides individual sessions, online and in-person workshops. Her ancestors hail from the British Isles, France, and Cherokee and Illini/Kaskaskia Nations. More information on her approach to healing can be found at www.redearthhealing.org
Please note that this is an educational and experiential workshop. By doing this deep work, personal material may be released from the unconscious. While some of this material may be processed during the workshop, participants are encouraged to continue working to process and integrate it with therapists or other healers as the need arises.
