Welcome to This Year Long Immersion
The Spirits of the Earth Immersion will create a container for a collective of like-minded seekers who are interested in developing a deepening a connection to the Earth. By using animistic principles including meditative communion, journey work, dream work, the practices of prayer, song, and gratitude, and use of our creative rootedness we will build and strengthen our community.
We welcome you to this year-long intensive where we will enliven our sacred container through which we are able to merge with the unseen to create balance and harmony in life.
Together we will:
- Connect and strengthen our relationships with the spirits of place, our elevated ancestors, guides and spirits of affinity
- Develop personal rituals which reinforce a connection with the unseen in sacred reciprocity
- Hold space for initiation, integration, grounding, protection, dreamwork, grief work, clearing, and manifesting
- Develop our personal skills which include compassionate listening, sacred witnessing, personal sovereignty & holding and honoring safe shared space
- Co-create sacred tools with our spirit helpers to enhance our connection to Spirit through rattle making, altar building, mask making, spirit sticks, personal transformation figures and medicine bundles
Through the process of this instructive and in-depth exploration of relationships with ourselves, our community, the Earth and unseen, we will emerge to our authentic selves, better connected to a sense of destiny, spirit, and Earth.
We hope you will join us!

Spirits of the Earth will be facilitated by Barbara Odil and Shannon Willis
Barbara is a community elder, teacher, healer and mixed media artist. She is grateful to live in the woods and work with Spirit and natural materials to create art. As an only child growing up in Macon, Georgia, she spent her time in the exploring the woods and creek, making altars, observing and interacting with insects, reptiles, and animals. This childhood grounded her firmly in her love of the Earth. Barbara came of age in the early 1970’s and was fortunate to be part of a community of artists and healers. In the 1990’s Barbara took numerous spirit based workshops including workshops on death and dying, shamanic practices, Holotropic Breathwork, and earth-based spiritual practices. She was also fortunate to participate in Dr. Elizabeth Sheerer’s dream groups for twenty-three years. During this time Barbara’s art redefined itself, becoming shaped by her spiritual practice. She teaches workshops incorporating guided journeying and natural materials that immerse participants in the creative flow.
Shannon is a ritual healing practitioner, teacher, and ceremonialist who works out of Heart Path Studio. She provides Spiritual and Holistic Counseling/Mentoring, Ancestral Lineage Healing, Psychopomp, Soul Retrieval, Extraction, Dream Work, Journey/Direct Visioning, Ceremonies & Rituals providing balance and harmony to life as a service to the Earth. Her current work is informed by culturally specific Earth-honoring and animistic practices studied in depth, specifically within the teaching lineages of her mentors whose backgrounds are in West African Diaspora, Eastern Mysticism, Nepali shamanism, as well as various other diverse indigenous paths, and northern European cultures. She is an initiate of Ọbàtálá, and Ọ̀ṣun, in the Ifa/Orisa tradition of Yoruba-speaking West Africa, in the lineage of Olúwo Fálolú Adésànyà Awoyadé from Òdè Rẹ́mọ, Ogun state, Nigeria. She holds a Masters degree in Professional Leadership and Counseling from Louisiana State University at Monroe, with a focus on Jungian and Gestalt technique. She is a Karuna and Usui Ryoho Reiki Master/Teacher and completed her 9-month intensive practitioner training in Ancestral Lineage Healing. More information on her approach to healing.
Please note that this is an educational and experiential workshop. By doing this deep work, personal material may be released from the unconscious. While some of this material may be processed during the workshop, participants are encouraged to continue working to process and integrate it with therapists or other healers as the need arises.
