A Circle Devoted to Listening Beneath the World

The Ritual Lab

Last Sunday of the month
April 26th, 2026 | 12pm-1:30pm PT

Certain truths cannot come to light in solitude. They emerge when humans and other-than-human kin meet in presence and respond together, weaving a mutual offering.

who is this circle for?

Welcome to The Ritual Lab, a monthly gathering for those ready to work in living relationship with their ancestors, their helping spirits, and the animate forces that pulse beneath the skin of ordinary life.

We gather because the spirits respond to the gathered field. We gather because healing moves more freely when it has witnesses. We gather because the old stories remind us that the threshold is easier to cross when others are holding the lamp.

“In sorrow we must go, but not in despair. Behold! we are not bound for ever to the circles of the world, and beyond them is more than memory.” – J.R.R. Tolkien

A Word on How We Will Gather

The monthly gathering moves in two arcs.

You will be guided to arrive gently, dropping into your body, your breath, the land holding you from below. Together, we build the container through grounding and protection, calling in what is needed, tending right relationship with the seen and unseen. Then we listen. The first ritual opens the conversation, parts the veil just enough to sense which spirits are present, what is being asked for, where the medicine wants to move.

From there, you are invited to follow what reveals itself. The second ritual becomes the working. Ancestors may step forward from the long river of lineage in need of support. Helping spirits may offer resources for healing or light for the crossroads you are standing at. The land itself may speak in a language older than words asking you to participate in reconciliation. Together, we follow what comes.

Come as you are. Bring what is alive in you, and what has been waiting, quietly or urgently, for tending.

You were never meant to carry this alone. Ritual in community re-members you to the web that holds all living things, mycelial, reciprocal, ancient. Something softens when altars are connected. Something in the spirits recognizes the circle and draws closer. The gathered field becomes its own kind of medicine, its own kind of homecoming.

Come step into The Ritual Lab, where practice stays alive, rooted in the dreaming body of the earth, responsive to what the living world is asking of us, and held in the warmth of others who have also heard the call.

Shannon Willis, M.Ed

Shannon will be your guide for this immersive. Her work lives at the wild confluence of dream midwifery, oracular listening, ancestral reverence, and ritual arts. She’s the Ritual Director at Ancestral Medicine, and an initiate in the Òrìṣà tradition of Yoruba-speaking West Africa, she has also apprenticed herself to the dreaming wisdom of her own bloodlines and to teachers of Jhanki Shamanism.

Shannon writes and weaves spiritual accompaniment for emerging leaders and cultural edge-walkers—those drawn to the holy work of remembrance, repair, and rooted resistance. She dwells with her son and their furred companions near the mist-kissed shores of the Salish Sea, on the ancestral and living lands of the Twana-Skokomish people.
