The Unfinished Business of Incarnation

A course rooted in remembrance of our personal collective through inner source work, somatic awareness, and spiritual acuity

Here is your invitation to sit at the ancestral hearth and listen for the lineage through which your soul has come into this world, following its threads through blood and bone, dream and spirit, memory and mystery. Through altar, offering, ritual, somatic listening, and spiritual acuity, we will enter the living current of this lineage and tend what has been carried toward us, so that what is waiting to be remembered might find its way back into the hands of the living.

This Course is for you if...

This course is for those who feel there is more to their ancestry than the story they have been given. For those who sense that something in their life is connected to a lineage they cannot yet fully name.

For those who experience recurring dreams, bodily knowing, intuitive impressions, patterns, gifts, grief, or other experiences that seem to reach beyond the boundaries of the individual self. For those who are curious about the lineage through which their soul may have incarnated and what that relationship might reveal about this particular life.

You do not need to know your complete family history or need a mapped out genealogy.

This work begins with relationship and attention.

Together, we will:

Explore the Three Ancestral Streams of Incarnation

Blood & Bone

The biological and ancestral lineage through which the body enters this world. The people, histories, cultures, migrations, losses, gifts, and inherited experiences carried through our embodied ancestry.

Spiritual Affinity

The ancestral or spiritual lineage with which the soul has an affinity. This may be experienced through dreams, intuitive knowing, spiritual relationship, ritual, or a persistent sense of belonging to a lineage beyond ordinary genealogy.

Karmic Evolution

The lineage through which particular patterns, burdens, lessons, or evolutionary work become present within this incarnation.

We will explore these three ancestral streams of incarnation and develop practices for discerning which lineage is most present and consequential in your life at this time.

From there, we will begin to establish relationship with a Spirit of Affinity within that lineage and explore what becomes available through that connection.

This may include ancestral gifts and blessings. It may include burdens that have traveled through generations. It may include grief, unfinished business, or patterns that have shaped your experience. It may include something you have been seeking without knowing where to look.

The work is an invitation to discover what your lineage has to do with the soul you came here to live.

Live Calls

1st Live Call with Shannon Monday, November 2nd, 3 pm-4:30 pm Eastern, and every Monday there after for 10 consecutive Mondays.

Lessons

Lessons drop on Wednesdays beginning October 28th at 7pm Eastern.

10 pre-recorded lessons, released each week on Wednesdays, 7:00 pm EST. Each lesson is self-directed, consists of a pre-recorded video which will share wisdom with a guided experiential practice. Also in the lesson will be journaling prompts and additional reading resources to deepen your understanding.
10 Live 90 Minute Zoom calls where we will gather as a community. In this space we will gather for deeper connection to the work at hand, leave spaciousness for questions and drop into ritual space to further the work as a community. These calls are on Monday's from 3pm-4:30pm Eastern
Community Connection -Join an international group of participants in a dedicated space to explore resources and support each other throughout the course.

Facilitator

Shannon Willis, M.Ed

Shannon Willis, M.Ed. is a dedicated animist and ritualist whose work explores the liminal landscapes of the seen and unseen. For more than 30 years, she has accompanied people through ritual, dreaming, ancestral reverence, soul reclamation, psychopomp work, and the mysterious terrain where human lives meet the more-than-human world.

Her work is rooted in relationship, reciprocity, embodied listening, and reverence for the living Earth. She is the founder of Red Earth Healing and an initiate within the Òrìṣà tradition of Yoruba-speaking West Africa. Her practice has also been shaped by her studies of Nepali shamanic traditions and other ancestral and spiritual pathways.

Shannon was born in Central Louisiana and raised between Louisiana and Sudan, Africa. She and her people are Louisiana Creole and Cajun, with ancestral roots extending through the complex histories of Central Louisiana and the peoples who have made their lives there. Her blood and bone lineages include French, Belgian, Canadian, English, Scottish, Irish, as well as the freed peoples of West Africa and Indigenous peoples of Eastern North Carolina and the Kaskaskia/Illini peoples of Illinois.

She carries these lineages as living relationship rather than simply genealogy. The histories of migration, cultural survival, displacement, colonization, racial mixing, language, land, loss, and belonging are part of the ancestral landscape through which she understands her own incarnation.

Her work with ancestral relationship is therefore deeply personal. She comes to this work not only through formal study and spiritual practice, but through her own ongoing inquiry into the lineages through which she has arrived here.

Shannon holds a Master’s degree in Professional Leadership and Counseling, with a focus in Jungian and Gestalt modalities. She has spent more than three decades developing practices of ritual, spiritual healing, dreamwork, ancestral reverence, and relationship with the more-than-human world.

She now lives and practices in Washington State with her adult son and their beloved animals, on the historic lands of the Skokomish peoples.

Is this course for me?

I offer this course to everyone regardless of spiritual background in earnest hope of bringing clarity and healing for personal and collective harmony.

Will we be focusing on one lineage to bring to wellness?

Yes, this course is designed to address an both a particalr burnen you are experiencing as a result of that incarnation and the impact on the Ancestral line in which it has occured. These lineages can be of blood and bone, or of spiritual lineage or affinity.

How Long do I have access to the course?

One year access to this course – across any and all devices you own.

Are refunds possible if I’m unhappy with the course?

A full refund is available for up to 2 weeks after the course begins. If helpful, please reach out as I would like to see if it’s possible to make the course work for you. Of course, you are welcome to the refund as well with no questions asked.

Are there pre-requisites to enroll in this course?

Prior experience with personal healing work and spiritual practice is recommended and includes skilled experience with navigating interpersonal terrain through journeying and having a deepening relationship with spiritual allies (such as helping spirits, elevated ancestors, deities and other unseen sources of support, If you’ve yet to have this requirement and would like support with this, please reach out and we can book a session together before the course begins.

All Zoom calls will be recorded and made available within 48 hours in the course portal.
